Several quality indicators are considered in the performance of the hospital services. Data from 2010-2014 is presented to show comparative data within 5 years of accomplishment of the hospital having 150 authorized bed capacity. The hospital was licensed with 150 ABC from 2008 till present. Performance is measured by percentage of patients served and given quality care.
As shown in the above table (Table 1) on Hospital Quality Indicators, the Bed Occupancy Rate in 2014 is 99%, this is higher by 8% compared with 2013. Average length of stay of 4 days is still within the standard acceptable level (4-5 days). Recovery rate is 86% which is 1% higher compared with 2013. Of the total patient discharged 38% (N=3184) are PhilHealth patients.
On mortality rate indicator, the hospital Gross Death Rate in 2014 is much higher at 11% compared with the standard acceptable level of < 3% , same with the Net Death Rate in 2014, which is also higher at 5% compared with the standard acceptable level of 0.5%-2.5%. Maternal Mortality Rate on the other hand decreased at 0.23% in 2014 and is within the standard acceptable level of 2.5%.
